You bought the view. Let us get it back.
Firs put on serious height every year. The water, the valley, or the afternoon light that sold you on the lot disappears a little at a time until one day it is gone. Thinning and limbing up opens it back up without stripping the property bare.
What is wind thinning and view clearing?
Wind thinning removes the crowded and weaker stems from a stand so wind moves through it instead of pushing against it. View clearing opens a sightline back up, usually by limbing trees up from the bottom rather than taking them out.
It normally takes fewer removals than people expect. Most of the gain comes from what we take off the trees that stay, and nothing gets cut before you have walked it and approved it.
Clearing a view is not clear-cutting.
It usually takes fewer removals than people expect. Most of the gain comes from what we take off the trees that stay.
Raise the canopy
Take the lower limbs off and you see straight underneath the stand. Often the single biggest gain, and the trees stay.
Take out the crowded ones
Remove the weak and doubled-up stems so wind moves through instead of pushing the whole stand. The keepers get light and room.
Cut one clean sightline
Open a window through the canopy aimed at the water or the valley, while the rest of the screen stays for privacy.
Drop the height
Where a tree has to come down, or come down in height, we handle that on the same visit.
Nobody notices a view closing.
Douglas fir and western red cedar put on real height every year in this climate. The change is invisible week to week, which is why most people call us years after the view started going. The fix is usually thinning and limbing rather than removal, so the property keeps its screen and its character.
Nothing gets cut before you sign off on it.
Walk it from your view
Deck, kitchen window, wherever it matters. We look at the sightline from where you actually stand.
Mark and agree
Every tree that gets touched is flagged and walked with you first. No surprises when you get home.
Limb, thin, and window
Climbed work, done in stages so we can check the sightline from the ground as it opens up.
Finish the site
Brush chipped, rounds cut or hauled away, chips blown off the deck and drive, to the level of cleanup we agreed on at the estimate.
The rest of what we do.
View work often pairs with a removal or two. Anything we recommend gets priced at the same walkthrough.
Tree Removal
Rigged down in sections when there is no room to fell it.

Call, text, or send the form. A photo from where you want the view helps more than anything else you can tell us.
A photo tells us more than a paragraph. Texting is usually the fastest way to a number.
